Hyrulites’ triple celebration ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
Held at Bottle Tree Park last weekend, this event was in conjuction with Hyrul Anuar turning 24 on the 23rd Sept’09 and also his 4th year anniversary as Anugerah champion 2005. Everyone brought home goodie bags, lucky draws and buffet spread. With guest artiste/fellow Anugerette Fauzie Laily.
This is yet another successful event by Hyrulites, after organising ‘Starlites ‘(singing competition) last June’09.

7.00 – 7.45pm : The Lost Hat/ Full Pledge Munkees
The Lost Hat consist of three man members Faizal Bohtiar (Vocal/ Ambience/ accordion) Syed Osman (Jimbe/Trumpet/vocal) And Yunos Erksan (Guitar/Electronic/Vocal) This band was designed to challenge the norm all aspects of total music shred-ability. Their music are mostly experimental. Infused/blended with multiple genre for etc spoken word, poems, Contemporary Psychedelic blue/jazz and Rock that lead to music meets theater.
An avid ska/punk band since early 1999. Full Pledge Munkees is majorly influenced by the Japanese ska/punk melodious ska beats with its unique and addictive sounds. They were being misunderstood for playing too aggressive and too loud for a ska band. Their Debut album “ Pick It Up” was released in 2007.
8.15 – 9.00pm : Awi Rafael
After relocating from Jakarta,Indonesia to Singapore in the early ‘90s, Awi completed his education in Singapore. He came to prominence on the local pub scene where he performed after his Uni classes ended.
From there, he wrote, recorded and performed with many bands over the years, to various degree of success. Confident that he can carve out his own personal career in music, he ditched his promising Law career to pursue his main passion, which is songwriting.

Project Cleft : Eddy Chua ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
Eddy Chua was a contestant of both Singapore Idol and Anugerah.
He is a singer songwriter who has had his music documented on Youtube as well as Blogger.
Band members include Eddy Chua (Vocals/Guitar) and Abdul Hafiz (Guitar)
Project Cleft is a not-for-profit student-initiated project by SMU undergraduates, aimed to create awareness to the plight of children with facial Cleft Lip/Palates conditions.

5.30 – 6.15pm : Blom Odo Nomo /Umbara
Blum Odo Nomo started out merely as a competition band in 2004 for the fun & the experience. Soon they progressed into making original songs with the rudimentary materials they have and never looked back ever since. Check out their music here
Songs written by poet – musician C G Karmin, eschews either the usual four piece band formation or the use of electronica that is so often heard in the music scene today. In contrast, C G Karmin’s declamatory singing style which highlights the narratives of his lyrics set to the acoustic guitar playing of well-known guitarist Addy results in a simplicity and directness of expression that is not often heard in this fast paced world of the 21st century.
7.00 – 7.45pm : Audionauts /Rifa’ah
AUDIONAUTS was formed in early May 2004. They are Nazri, Sham, Yuri, Reno and Ryzal who is also blessed with a soulful and husky voice. The name Audionauts is to commemorate the band’s journey through the years together. http://www.myspace.com/audionauts
Started singing at a tender age of 14. He was a member of successful Malay boy band 2D, a group that experiment with traditional Malay music and fused it with mainstream music such as R&B, Bossa, Arabic, Funk. 2D evergreen hit Cenderawasih was honoured as one of the musical piece performed in NDP 07.
With 2 albums and the highest album selling records locally, 2D was regarded as a leader in the Local Malay music industry. He was also involved in a Art House Theatre Production with Ivan Heng titled Generation travelling to Moscow, Russia. Currently, he is experimenting electronica music with vanguard melody. His current hit, Lara Sepi of Pinggiran Ramadhan have been actively played in the local radio.
8.15 – 9.00pm : Diwi /Maman Teachers Pet
Maman has been a recording artist for the last 17 years. He has won many awards such as Best Recorded Album in AIM Award Malaysia 95, Best New Band with Teacherspet in 1992. Besides performing, he also produced theme songs for many movies and television. He had just released his latest album Hijrah.
