7.00 – 7.45pm : Crossover / Waffi

In 2005, four like-minded friends decided to take their music to the next level and embarked on their musical journey. After various turnaround and name changes, they decided to be called CROSSOVER. In July 2009, they released their 1st Malay singles “Lagu Ku” and was on RIA 89.7fm ever since.

Waffi promote and appreciate serious and deep music that turns poems into song. Waffi has collaborated with many local writers to give Malay Literature a new facelift towards the younger generations. In 2008, Waffi won 3rd place in Perkamus Song Writing to commemorate the late Masuri S N poems.
8.15 – 9.00pm : V / Kalysa

“V” is a band made of siblings and close friends. Brothers Zainololum Abu and Nizam Abu joined by Sham and his elder brother Bobby, got back together in late 2008 almost 12 years since they first started jamming together as ragtag bunch of Rock n Rolla misfits in high school.
They’ve just recently released a single. One of the songs “Langgar-Lari” was chosen as one of Ria’s 89.7 FM Hot New track of the week and was in heavy rotation during a brief 3-week period. Currently the band is in preparation to begin recording for their debut album due for early next year.

Aryan Siswanto Kamsani, 26, may be better known among the local music circuit as Yanto, the bassist from Aegyptie, Superband finalist Qinobe & now defunct Feizfonik – winner of Best Entertainment Award, Yamaha Asian Beat 2001.
Through YouTube, he met Nurul Kalyisah Abdul Aziz ,18 or Kelly,a Sports Management student with a strong voice. Kelly also plays for the Singapore Under-19 Women Football Team, Kelly & Yanto’s online audition quickly materializes to an acoustic jamming session and soon they were writing songs together and called themselves Kalysa.
