Aaron Aziz In Malaysia’s Latest Film and Guess Who’s Appearing As Well? ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
‘Dua Alam’, a directorial debut from Hairie Othman will be featuring Aaron Aziz and introducing Suhailah Salam.
A vast difference from his role in ‘KL Drift’ and ‘Janji Diana’, Aaron plays Haji Ishak, a young Imam, fresh from Al-Azhar. His close childhood male buddy, Amy, is now a famous transvestite actress, played by Suhailah. Things took a heavy turn when Amy suffers from depression and dies a shocking death.
Aaron and Suhailah’s chemistry in ‘Cinta Bollywood’ have spun great ratings and garnered a huge fan-base especially after their individual winnings in Suria Channel’s ‘Pesta Perdana’ 2003.
According to Aaron’s manager, he has received nominations for ‘Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian’ (Malaysia) for ‘Pelakon Lelaki TV Paling Popular’ and ‘Pelakon Filem Lelaki Paling Popular’. This is his third year being nominated; and a first to receive in two categories. The finals will be held in April.

Ungu All Geared Up for LIVE in Concert 24.04.2010 ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
Promotion began early for five member Ungu, even before tickets are released, as they prepare for their major concert here this April. The band, lead byvocalist/guitarist, Mr Captivating Pasha last appeared in August last year for Iftar with Darul Ma’wa.
Ungu have released a total of 8 albums eversince they first set up in 2002, inclusive of 3 religious albums – a trend amongst Indonesian artistes, normally released in the month of Ramadhan. ‘Demi Waktu’, taken off their album ‘Melayang’ received enormous response in 2006.
A coincidental emotional period for Pasha and his ex wife, and Rossa’s divorce brought them to a poignant duet in ‘Terlanjur Cinta’ which, again became another hit. They were also featured in ‘Andai Ku Tahu’ and ‘Tercipta Untukku’, OST Ayat Ayat Cinta. Among their chart topping numbers are ‘Kekasih Gelapku’, ‘Cinta Dalam Hati’ and more.
Tickets will be available for sale in Sistic in February, as reported in their Facebook page, now flooded by enthusiastic fans. VIP tickets will also be on sale, inclusive of post party and Meet and Greet session with the band.

Kenangan Terindah Debut Tonight ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
‘Kenangan Terindah’, Hamid Osman’s directorial debut will be telecast tonight. The eight episode drama tells about the good old days at kampung, based loosely on a true story of an old kampong at Punggol with an inspiring message about overcoming odds in life.
Featuring good looking teacher, Syed Azmir, Azman Shariff, Fadhlur Rahman and Accapan from Malaysia, with line up of newcomers Norfiqin, Khairudy, Akmal and Syarafana.
We really love the image above. Doesn’t that just remind you of your classic class pictures? We had actually wanted to show you some snapshots of the mysterious Mr A, but was in vain. Sorry! Till we get the green light from the producers, you’ll have to keep watching to find out.

New Reality TV Calling Out Participants for REMEDI ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
Remedi is an acronym REaksi MEncegah DIri (React-Prevention-Self), zeroing in on health messages including regular exercise, good nutrition and knowledge.
5 teams in a quest to outrun, outplay and outwit their competition towards a healthier self. The series will be a super-sized serving of fun, knowledge and action through 3 segments – ‘The Move On’, ‘Challenge Your Gut’ and ‘The Mind Game.’
A team of health experts which includes a trainer, a nutritionist and a doctor will be helping them in their mission. A tally of points accumulated from the three rounds and team with the lowest points will be eliminated in each episode.

Elfaezah UlHaq Stars In Channel 5’s The Pupil ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
It’s Elfa’s breakthrough to Channel 5 drama serial, as a lawyer, no less, after Aaron Aziz’ and Suhaimi Yusof. Elfaezah, plays as Nisa, a fillial daughter to father, Mohd Noor played by Ahmad Stokin and sister to Razak, played by Jeff Catz.
The drama gives us a sneak peek into the world of Singaporean lawyers, inspired by actual cases, exploring issues close to our hearts. Elfa’s appearance in ‘Otak Alfie Berdengung’ alongside with Hyrul Anuar as the main character is currently airing it’s repeat every Saturday, at 9pm. While Elfa is still active in the scene, we wonder how her sister, Elfeezah is up to.

Fresh New Change by Najip Ali in PopAgenda ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
POPAGENDA is a new variety programme, airing on Suria next month! On every episode, 2 local singers, and an established guest artiste will showcase ala Mentor to the them. A local composer will also be introduced on every show. There’s a panel of evaluators made up of Ajai (Malaysia), Yuvie (Indonesia’s Duo – Yuvie & Nuno) & Hanim Mohd Salleh (Berita Harian, Singapore). Reminds us quite a bit of TV-Ism.
For the recording of the first episode which I attended, Hyrul Anuar, Maiya Rahman & Andre (Sound Salvation) performed alongside the first Malaysian Idol Jaclyn Victor as the guest artiste/mentor! Hosted by the multi-talented Najip Ali, it was an interesting event where the featured artiste had to perform live and after every performance, the panel shared their comments. Sungguh pedas dan menyengat - that’s how I will describe it! A short interview session with the artiste and the host were slotted in.
Jaclyn Victor kick-started the show with her soulful rendition of Alicia Key’s ”No One”. Hyrul then shook the stage & performed “Popular” together with a few dancers followed by Maiya who performed her latest single, “Di Manakah”.
Other featured artistes in the upcoming episodes includes Fauzie Laily, Kunjung Whitaker, Wawan, Akmal, Zainal Abidin, Awie and more! PopAgenda is expected to be telecast in February, however, we have yet to get the confirmed dates. More updates soon!

Ria Celebrates 20 Years ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
The teen years are over for Ria but that’s not stopping the Malay radio station targeted at youths from celebrating their 20s in a big way. The station was launched 1st December 1990. That makes them 20 this year, and in February they kick off their year-long celebrations with a concert that you wouldn’t want to miss.
The line up, as of today, announced during The O Show includes Zaibaktian, Didicazli, Taufik Batisah, Hady Mirza and more.
During its early years, the line up of DJs include pioneers AB Shaik, Mariam Mas’od both now in Warna, Zarina Safuan, Azmi Oh Yeah, Hafeez Glamour and Suriani Kassim. Currently, Fiza O, Aura Syai, and Nity Baizura are some of the popular names on-air.
Ria’s Birthday Bash will take place 21st February, 8.30pm at The Republic Cultural Centre, Republic Poly.
