Wawan & Chirul at Cakap Pasal Remaja ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
By kind invitation from MUIS, Wawan and Chirul (from Anugerah 2009) got to grace the stage at the opening of Cakap Pasal Remaja Episode 1 at the Singapore Islamic Hub recently. Wawan sang “Indah” and Chirul sang “Setulus Kasih”. Both songs are their first singles coming off Gumbira’s compilation album with Mediacorp titled “Alunan Kasih”.

We are still looking for kind sponsors to help us in funding our event to offset production costs of songs recording and CDs, as we’ll be involved in this project on a charity basis. There will be a non-profitable concert for Alunan Kasih in October and proceeds from sale of the CDs shall go to An-Nur Mosque in Woodlands. Alunan Kasih 2 Songwriting Contest ditulis oleh Gumbira 1 Komen
Ok for those of you who didn’t get thru the Anugerah auditions (or even if you did) and stated ‘writing songs’ as a hobby, here’s your shot at it. We’re organizing a Songwriting Contest, and for the first time, it comes with a huge cash prize, and your song might just become the single(s) for the likes of Hyrul Anuar, Maiya Rahman, Fauzie Laily, Imran Ajmain, and the top 4 finalists of Anugerah 2009. Cool huh?
Here’s how it works. The theme is “Honouring Women”. (”Menyanjung Kaum Hawa’”) .Write lyrics or lyrics with melody about the wonders, mysteries, and pleasantries of a woman, of women, of womenhood (that includes lover, wife, mother, daughter, or hot chicks in general so you can go crazy). You can write it on your own, or you can write it as a pair. It can be in any genre, any style, any structure. The song must be under 3:45 min and written in Malay. There is a S$10 registration fee (via bank transfer) and it closes 30th June. Your demos can be acapella, with piano, or with guitar, or simply just humming in MP3 or Wav format.
