Niyang Rapik Screening In Singapore 13.05.2010 ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen

Thanks to Liyana Jasmay’s recent tweet, we found out about the upcoming screen of Niyang Rapik.

Eversince its run in Malaysia with RM4 million in Box Office takings, Singaporeans may now be able to catch the movie on 13th May at all Eng Wah Cinemas.

The Curse of Niyang Rapik, written and produced by Ahmad Idham has been brought to the silver screen after the hit drama TV series, ‘Puaka Niyang Rapik’. Following the success of Jangan Pandang Belakang, Congkak and other Box Office hits, Ahmad Idham and Metrowealth (MIG) have teamed up once again to produce a new horror film – Niyang Rapik.

The Curse of Niyang Rapik begins with the death of Zack. His death shocks his friends as they come to the realization that his death may bear a mysterious link to an ancient sickle which he had stolen from an earlier trip to Niyang Rapik. A series of eerie incidents and haunting apparition sightings ensue as they try to right the wrong which their late friend had committed.

Niyang Rapik was shot in a span of ten days with a budget of RM 1.6 Million at Taksir Kenyir, Terrengganu. The film features a cast of young and upcoming talents such as winner of Best Actress at the 22nd Malaysian Film Festival- Liyana Jasmay as well as nominees in the 20th and 22nd Malaysian Film Festival Shaheizy Sam, Awal Ashaari and Fizz Fairuz.

ps : Liyana Jasmay will be in Singapore pretty soon too!  Watch this space for more updates.

Aaron & Suhailah Gets Main Role in Malaysian Film ditulis oleh Gumbira 1 Komen

It was rare for a media conference to held so grand and the first turned out to be a great attempt. ‘Dua Alam’ Media Conference held yesterday at Sheraton Towers Hotel, proved to be one of the much newsworthy film to be released this year.

A Malaysian film with two local talents as the main cast – now that’s news!

Aaron Aziz and Suhailah Salam who held the title of ideal couple way back in ‘Cinta Bollywood’ days, are paired up again, this time in a bigger screen. Suhailah is probably one of the less seen actress who haven’t appeared for the longest time on TV, made a grand kickstart as the the main role. Too early for us to say the grass seems greener on the other side, but Dr Rozmey was convinced that Suhailah proved to be the best figure to execute the role of Amy – a transvestite.

The flow of the story began to unfold as Adam changed his name to Amy return to his homeland to start afresh. Things took a turn as her real identity got exposed following an incident which resulted her to hang herself. The journey began as her body have to go through the final path of a human being before being put to rest.

Special appearance by Amy Search performing his own rendition of ‘Salam Terakhir’ was the icing of the cake, albeit the miming. Among the soundtrack includes ‘Andai Ku Tahu’ by Papa Rock, Ramli Sarip.

A preview of the music video cum movie trailer showed quite a bit of sensational scenes, but let’s wait for the full story end of this month, shall we?

Syabas to Aaron and Suhaila! Bonus points goes out to the amazing attendance of media and the sumptuous spread of food. Gumbira points to Amy Search for still looking good and charming.

‘Dua Alam’ by Dr Movie Production Sdn Bhd will be premiered on 28 April in Singapore and is expected to create a big impact, away from the typical predictable storyline. Also starring Faizal Hussein, Rosnah Johari, Yank Kasim, Kuswadinata, Andrea Abdullah and Royadi.

Could this be another news for the next local to cross our borders for good?

Aaron Aziz In Malaysia’s Latest Film and Guess Who’s Appearing As Well? ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen

‘Dua Alam’, a directorial debut from Hairie Othman will be featuring Aaron Aziz and introducing Suhailah Salam.

A vast difference from his role in ‘KL Drift’ and ‘Janji Diana’, Aaron plays Haji Ishak, a young Imam, fresh from Al-Azhar. His close childhood male buddy, Amy, is now a famous transvestite actress, played by Suhailah. Things took a heavy turn when Amy suffers from depression and dies a shocking death.

Aaron and Suhailah’s chemistry in ‘Cinta Bollywood’ have spun great ratings and garnered a huge fan-base especially after their individual winnings in Suria Channel’s ‘Pesta Perdana’ 2003.

According to Aaron’s manager, he has received nominations for ‘Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian’ (Malaysia) for ‘Pelakon Lelaki TV Paling Popular’ and ‘Pelakon Filem Lelaki Paling Popular’. This is his third year being nominated; and a first to receive in two categories. The finals will be held in April.

More about the movie release soon.

Aaron regularly updates his Fanpage. Add him up to check out pictures at http://bit.ly/81118b
