FMA Celebrates 1st Anniversary 13.03.2010 – 14.03.2010 ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
Festival Melayu Ada or better known as FMA spearheaded by Rafaat Hamzah of Cokelat Events, will be celebrating it’s 1st Anniversary this weekend at Hajjah Esah Cafe, with a long list of artiste lineup!
Also appearing Zaibaktian, Adha, Diorama, Shafyre, Boy Raven, Kraton and more. ‘Wayang’ segment will be featuring several short films namely ‘Lost Sole’ by Sanif Olek, ‘Bob’ by Fai Rizal Alias, ‘Roman Picisan’ by Rafaat Hamzah, ‘Rahim’ by Murni Mastan and ‘Impian Si Mamat’ by Zul Salleh.
‘Bicara’ segment will be held on Sunday, 14 March with a talkshow and discussion touching on ‘What Can Youth Offer To Society’ with presence of guest speakers which includes former Manja Editor, Aidli Mosbit, Sanif Olek, Effendy Ibrahim and Alfian Saat.
FMA will be happening on Saturday 13 March from 12.30pm and on Sunday 14 March from 2pm at Hajjah Esah Cafe, located at Bussorah Street. Bring your mats, and some friends for a fulfilling weekend!

‘Anak Wayang’, initiated and conceptualised by Adel Dzulkarnaen Ahmad and, celebrity wife, Marina Yusoff as the Script Writer and Director will be presenting more than 120 performing artist in various element of arts namely, traditional theatre bangsawan, wayang kulit, Malay ethnic dance, music ensemble and contemporary dance. Also appearing Shahril Wahid of the recent Gerimis Di Hati’s fame will also be be part of this.
‘Anak Wayang’ will be happening on on Friday, 26th March 2010 at 8.00pm & Saturday, 27th March 2010 at 3.00pm. Matinee show at 8.00pm at Victoria Theatre.

Grand Occasion for Selebriti ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
The red carpet, venue and artistes lineup was grandiose. Selebriti’s 2nd Anniversary promised to be a big bash, being one out of three Malay entertainment magazine in Singapore actively doing events.
There were performances by Hyrul Anuar, Roze, Revalina, Jatt Ali, Revalina, Xclusif, Hafizah Nasser, Afiq Arsyad, Azhar Raz, Ize Sulaiman, Razlina Ajis and more. We also spotted a few familiar faces with the comeback of Anugerah’s Rudy Djoharnaen and Indra Hamzah. Hady Mirza’s grand entrance was warmly greeted by the presence of his own grandfather, veteran Osman Zailani, who also graced the event. Leena Salim, from ‘Under One Roof’ surprised everyone with ‘Tiru Macam Saya’ – how apt for her tremendously drastic latest image! It made us totally forgotten how she looked like before.
It would be much more prominent if Rudy Djoharnaen would refresh our memory with his rendition of ‘Suatu Masa’, one of the best reasons he won Anugerah back in 1999. You might also remember Indra Hamzah from Anugerah 2001 very well through his song, ‘Antara Hijau Kirmizi’.
I’m sorry but the magic show was too scary and gross for a high tea event. Oops!
All in all, it was a great start to gather an almost full house attended by artistes, dramatists, celebrities old and new to be part of the huge anniversary event.

Record breaking hi-tea with more than 30 artistes performing from Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia in a red carpet Malay entertainment record event to celebrate Selebriti’s 2nd year Anniversary!
The Malay entertainment industry makes history this month with the official launch of the Malay Artistes Association (MAA). The association is steered by a 13-member Management Committee comprising of local heavyweights representing various sectors of the industry – executives, singers, actors, hosts, scriptwriters, producers, theatre activists, creative and other performing talents.
Registered in late October 2009, MAA seeks to uplift the professional standards of the Malay artistes’ community in Singapore with its welfare efforts, skills upgrading courses, members’ activities as well as talent management and promotions. Advocating its pro-partnership policy, MAA plans to be the ‘official channel’ in talents engagement and as the ‘representative voice’ when dealing with industry stakeholders and establishments, locally and abroad.
MAA will be launched with some funfare at the Glamor 2010 ! event. Glamor 2010 ! is a red-carpet hi tea event that sets a new record with more than 30 performing artistes from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Pop icon of Malaysia – Ogy Ahmad Daud, one of Indonesian brightest stars – Intan Nuraini and Singapore’s own favourite – Hady Mirza (Singapore and Asian Idol) will be leading an all-stars line-up that also include Black Dog Bone, SleeQ, Hyrul Anwar, Eka Mairina, Faizal Isa, Revalina, Iron Will, Mak Dara and some of MAA’s own members. Glamor 2010 ! has also attracted come-back artistes such as Norleena Salim of the Boom Boom Room fame who will be returning from Australia to support the event.
Glamor 2010 ! also commemorates the 2nd Anniversary of Selebriti. The 2-year old magazine has now boosted its reach locally and internationally by being the only Malay publication with an online version, a webTV network and a membership discount club.
Glamor 2010 ! will be held on the 27th of Feb 2010 at Canning Ballroom, Raffles City Convention Hall from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets at $75 are still available at Muzika Record @ Joo Chiat Complex.

Choreographed by Kamil Ridzuan who also acts as Artistic Director, and written/directed by Azli Mahmud, you may expect one of the bestest TariDra (Tari Drama), backed by the efforts of the young and enthusiastic dancers and actors of Perkumpulan Seni, who are eager to learn and speak about the problems of the youth today.
Through the eyes of an outcast, a pious man and a lonely mother-figure entrenched among the masses, Mencari Arah wishes to reconfigure what we need in the name of respectability and sanity.

‘Suria Elektra’ Celebrates 10th Year With A Big Bang ditulis oleh Gumbira none Komen
The past 10 years have been a long eventful ride for them, and to mark this, an electrifying event is set to commemorate Suria’s anniversary.
More than 60 artistes will be part of ‘Suria Elektra’, including Singapore Idols Taufik Batisah and Hady Mirza. The newly crowned Sarah Aqilah will also be performing. In an effort to maintain a good ties with neighbouring countries, ‘Pianka’, from Indonesia, a female trio, famous for their hit, ‘Yang Besar Besar Saja’ is also present. The special treats come in the form of Anang Hermansyah and Dato Siti Nurhaliza.
Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, who appeared in Suria’s inaugural launching back in 2000, will be making a ceremonious comeback. Najip Ali, another prominent face of Suria, will also be hosting tonight. Najip have been involved in various programmes for Suria throughout the years via his own production house, DuaM.
Backed with a full orchestra, performances also feature Hyrul Anuar, Maiya Rahman, Fauzie Laily, Fuad Rahman, and many more familiar faces.
Suria will also be launching their new logo together with its much anticipated programme lineup for the year! Tahniah Suria!
‘Suria Elektra’ will be telecast LIVE tonight from Mediacorp Theatre, at 8.30pm only on Suria Channel. Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee will be the Guests-of-Honour for the show.

Promotion began early for five member Ungu, even before tickets are released, as they prepare for their major concert here this April. The band, lead byvocalist/guitarist, Mr Captivating Pasha last appeared in August last year for Iftar with Darul Ma’wa.
Ungu have released a total of 8 albums eversince they first set up in 2002, inclusive of 3 religious albums – a trend amongst Indonesian artistes, normally released in the month of Ramadhan. ‘Demi Waktu’, taken off their album ‘Melayang’ received enormous response in 2006.
A coincidental emotional period for Pasha and his ex wife, and Rossa’s divorce brought them to a poignant duet in ‘Terlanjur Cinta’ which, again became another hit. They were also featured in ‘Andai Ku Tahu’ and ‘Tercipta Untukku’, OST Ayat Ayat Cinta. Among their chart topping numbers are ‘Kekasih Gelapku’, ‘Cinta Dalam Hati’ and more.
Tickets will be available for sale in Sistic in February, as reported in their Facebook page, now flooded by enthusiastic fans. VIP tickets will also be on sale, inclusive of post party and Meet and Greet session with the band.
